My New Range: Helping You Be a Yummy (Happy) Mummy
20 Feb 2019
I first discovered the joys of the Yummy Mummy Maternity range when I was pregnant. I don’t know about you, but when you’re carrying so many extra kilos, feel boiling hot most of the time, have tweaks of pain here and there, and are pretty much close to tears all the time, few things are as e-s-s-e-n-t-i-a-l as comfort.
Yummy Mummy Maternity: Prioritising comfort
The Yummy Mummy Maternity range was a saviour for me. On the comfort side of things, I lived in the supportive, supple maternity bra and their renowned belly band. On the aesthetics front (let’s not pretend we don’t fret about what we’re going to look like on the other side of this journey!) I smothered myself in the Yummy Mummy tummy butter and oil. I’m prone to stretch marks, but to my sheer astonishment, I made it through pre- and post-baby with nil. And the best part about these products is that they’re easily absorbed into the skin and are 100% safe and natural for pregnancy and beyond.
Forging a new relationship
After that experience, I was all systems go when it came to collaborating with Yummy Maternity and creating our bespoke lifestyle brand together. I wanted to share the must-have items that got me through pregnancy with as many women as possible and I worked closely with Katie Borland, the talented fashion designer and owner of Yummy Maternity (who also happens to be a mom so she gets it!) to launch the Lisa Raleigh X Yummy Maternity brand.
About the products
Both the Tummy Butter and Tummy Oil are locally manufactured, using the finest-quality blend of natural and organic ingredients, which means they’re safe to use throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding. These products go on light, absorb well and help to reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks by nourishing the skin and restoring its elasticity.
The belly band helps to support your stomach before and after your baby is born. It’s known for its seamless, firm support, and – like the bras – is made with a unique microfiber fabric which offers great softness, breathability and the ability to stretch in all directions without losing its shape.
It’s also ideal for extending the wear of your jeans and ‘normal clothes’ while you’re pregnant – as it looks like you’ve layered your blouses and tops, and conveniently covers buttons that won’t close.
I hope these items bring you as much comfort and relief as they did for me when Bella was in my tummy. Your new role as ‘mom’ is a lifelong one, and you deserve a little comfort and support along the way!
