My new range: helping you be a Yummy (happy) Mummy
So, I first discovered the joys of Yummy Mummy when I was pregnant. I don’t know about you other moms out there, but when you are many, many kilos larger, boiling, have tweaks of new pain and are pretty much close to tears all the time, few things are as e-s-s-e-n-t-i-a-l as comfort.
PRIORITISING COMFORT
Yummy Mummy was a saviour to me. On the comfort side of things, I lived in the supportive, supple maternity bra and their renowned belly band. On the aesthetics front (let’s not pretend we don’t fret about what we’re going to look like on the other side of this journey!) I smothered myself in the Yummy Mummy tummy butter and oil. I am prone to stretch marks and thought they were pretty much a guarantee, but to my sheer astonishment, I made it through pre- and post-baby with nil. And the best part about these products is that they – somehow – aren’t oily.
The last thing you want when you’re hot and uncomfortable is to now be smothered in oil!

After that experience, I was all systems go when it came to forming a partnership with Yummy Maternity and creating our bespoke lifestyle brand. I wanted to share the must-have items that got me through pregnancy with as many people as possible.
The owner of Yummy Mummy is Katie Barland. Mom of two and successful fashion designer, Katie decided to launch Yummy Maternity in 2007 after staying with a pregnant friend who kept mentioning she had nothing to wear. We formed a partnership, and LRXYM was born.

Both the Tummy Butter and Tummy Oil are locally manufactured, using the finest-quality blend of natural and organic ingredients, which means they’re safe to use throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding. These products go on light, absorb well and help to reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks by nourishing the skin and restoring its elasticity.
The belly band helps support your stomach before and after your baby is born. It is known for its seamless, firm support, and – like the bras – is made with a unique microfiber fabric which offers great softness, breathability and the ability to stretch in all directions without losing its shape.
